That's the only thing that i can come up with that sounds logical. I have never seen the advantage of it. A click that results in a sale on an affiliate link is way more money. Yes, they don't all become sales, but at least on average, if you have good content, and a decent product, you will do better than adsence for the same amount of click throughs. Just my 2 cents.
