A few of my friends have become successful on the field of internet/affiliate marketing. And it keeps me wondering how they are able to do it, when I myself have been struggling to keep my blogs even moderately successful. Nonetheless, it's still one of my goals, which is to really engage successfully in affiliate marketing.

Expiring GoDaddy domains go to the TDNAM auctions, even if you backorder them. If you win that auction you get the name, if you don't any of the name catchers can get it.

But sometimes you luck out even and you can wait a week. They may have just "tasted" the domain.

I have always wanted to get into the whole affiliate marketing thing but am just to scared of being scammed/ripped off. I would like to put other products on my ART site, and get a % to sell them, kind of like a drop shipping deal i suppose. But how do i know if they are a good company to go with or not?

Yeah it's a real shame - they used to be a good registrar but can't make it anymore with competition from the likes of Godaddy. What they are engaging in is a last act of deperation, trying to scrape the last few bucks out of a failing business. I guess integrity went out the window.

I'm thinking like you. The money of afiliate programs(especially the "pills") looks pretty good. But I blog for fun, and have no idea of pills... I want to create my own content that is useful to people, not just making people buy something that I tag as "best" and I've never tried.
The money from adsense are funny in my country, but I prefer it than affiliate programs.

Over the last year I compiled some statistics of my earnings and I actually earned twice as much with Chitika compared to AdSense. For those of you looking for an alternative - try Chitika! You can check out this Chitika review to view some screenshots.

You are right. Sedo doesn't give its customers much attentions when it comes to domain sales. Phone calls are not returned, the web site sales contact email address is wrong on their web site. One of my domains was approved for premium auction, but they asked me to lower the reserve, I did that and reapplied, the very same domain was not approved. I can't even contact them to find out why. I had better experience with Moniker who took the same domain to their live auction and listed it for $500K, though it was not sold, I appreciate the attention my account representative gave me. Afternic is probably not as well know, but they are not as rigid as Sedo
